Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful day! :) So far, it's been a very memorable Christmas for me and my family. I just wanted to share some pictures I took of our "mini" x-mas tree. (Yes these were taken with my crappy little point and shoot.) Enjoy!

I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE x2!!!!
There is so much going on with me today. I'd like to share it with you.
Edgar and I have always said that we would wait to have children. We have careers, a small apartment in Irvine and two convertibles. Yes you can say we're living a great life with little to no responsibility and for the passed 5 years, that has been great and it has suited us well. Several months ago, we found out that Edgar's little brother's fiancee was pregnant. We were all very happy with the news regardless of the situation, it signified the beginning of new life in the family and it meant that Edgar's parents would finally be grandparents. It was then I think that Edgar and I started questioning our living situation and realized we didn't have a very "baby friendly" environment. I think our perspective on children has changed. Watching Jackie's belly grow has been amazing. At three months she had a rather large bump and the doctor told her to watch what she was eating. Saturday we got a phone call from Christopher (Edgar's brother) and he told us that they had gone to the doctor and that Jackie was pregnant with not one girl, but TWO!! Jackie is having TWIN GIRLS!!! Are you serious?? I AM OVERJOYED!! Let me make this clear. I don't speak to anyone on my dad's side of the family. I have several cousins from my mom's side--5 to be exact and an older brother only two of them are married and only one of them has had a child. This cousin of mine lives in Maryland so I never got to see my little cousin grow. I am ecstatic with this news because this is the first time that I will be around babies from birth and I will get to watch them grow. I am already a super proud Auntie! And I will spoil these babies with all that I have. Blog world, I introduce to you little Jamie and Aubrey Aragon.

Let's just say that before this I thought the "baby bug" was just a myth. Oh boy was I wrong--because I think Edgar and I have it bad now!!

Movie Weekend!!
So this weekend Edgar and I decided we'd watch movies. A direct result of canceling our expensive cable and re-joining Netflix. :)
We saw: All 3 Alien movies, Journey to the Center of the Earth & The Dark Knight!
Aliens 1 & 2 I really liked. Alien 3 had me bored out of my mind and by that time I did NOT want to see Alien Resurrection (part 4 of the quadrilogy) They should have ended it at the sequel.
Journey to the Center of the Earth was such a cute movie! In blu-ray it was the best, however I regret not going to see this in 3-D because it looked like it would have been soo much fun! (Yes I am a kid at heart, I won't deny it).
The Dark Knight was great. Edgar and I had already seen it in the theater, but there was nothing like watching it on blu-ray and the ending is so cool. Stupid Katie Holmes should have never been in the first film had she not intended to be in the second one. Gyllenhaal gave a decent performance. They should have cast her to begin with in the first movie.
So that's that. Sitting on our couch this weekend reminded me of just how small the damned thing is--we need a new one. :)

Why?
Why did I schedule a boudoir photography session in January after the holidays where I know I always pig out? Oy. I'm such a numb nut. I should have done it next summer. I was doing really good with the working out and then it got cold and I've been feeling sooo tired lately that I rested for a couple of days. I want to work out today...but it's effin cold. What the hell man. Oh well, I suppose I can always suck in my stomach during the b-pics or just massively photoshop the hell out of the pictures so it doesn't even look like me. HA! Bad, bad idea.

Can't Get You Out of My HEAD!
Edgar surprised me and bought me the Twilight soundtrack the other day. Ever since I popped it into my car I haven't been able to get these two songs out of my head:
ENJOY!

Allergies & Fatty McFatty!
So today, I skipped out on work and called Kaiser early to make an appointment with a Dr. because I've been suffering from allergies. What am I allergic to you ask? I don't know. So today I went to go see a Dr. that I had seen before because I really like her--and if you know Kaiser, sometimes it's hard to find a "nice" doctor. Well my sneezing had become increasingly worse over the passed month or so, so I decided it was time to go in to find out what the heck is wrong with me. She gave me some antibiotics, which means I've had a cold or something too...um...and she also gave me some crazy decongestant type thing called Suclor. I hate feel like such a weakling--I told her I had been feeling so tired lately and she said that my allergies could be doing that to me and if my body was fighting off illness that could be it too. She also ordered some blood work so that they can check for the most common allergies. Soon, I will know what I am allergic to, if it's my cat I'm going to cry.
On a side note. Fatty McFatty here weighs...yes I'm going to actually tell you on here because I don't care...wait for it...wait for it...142 freaking pounds. At 5'3" you should just call me a butterball. DAMN. I had started working out, and then I felt like I was getting sick so I tried to slow it down...and then I just stopped. I have to get motivated because I'm taking b-pics in January. WOW. This sucks.
That's all for today. I'm going to go lay down and read until I fall asleep. I feel like I could sleep for a whole week.
Once the blood work results come in, I'll post them. I know you guys are dying to know what I'm allergic to. (HA! Yea right, but I'll post them anyway).

I am Ecstatic!
I just got word from Edgar via messenger that my wedding ring was delivered yesterday via Fedex to our Leasing Office. He picked it up over his lunch break today. I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!! I can't wait to go home and see it and try it on. This day CANNOT go fast enough for me-- I WANT TO GO HOME ALREADY! Pictures forthcoming...

Ok, I'm Hooked.
I couldn't put Twilight down today--and I was thinking about it all week while I was at work. I finished it and now I can't wait to start the next book in the series. I'm going out to Barnes and Noble tomorrow because it is within walking distance from our apartment and I am buying the other three books in the series. I want to know what happens...darn you Stephanie Meyer and your star-crossed lovers crap! HAHAHA, I can't get enough of it. I have read some people critiquing her writing style and although I did notice her repition of words, I managed to overlook it based on the content of the book. I was however getting tired of her over usage of the word "chagrin". Other than that I'm going to continue on with the series.
Are any of you going to see the movie on the 21st? I think I will wait until the crowd dies down, and all the teeny-bopper girlies with their wild hormones are out of the movie theater pining over Edward. But I don't know if I'll be able to wait very long. Based off of pictures from the movie that I've seen on the internet, Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart seem to have a very strong chemistry--I'm so looking forward to seeing that on screen. I wonder if they are going to work on the making movies of the rest of the series? They'd be complete idiots not to.

Twilight
In light of the movie TWILIGHT coming out, and my love for all things vampire, I decided to purchase the book. I started reading it this weekend. I have only gotten to the 3rd chapter, but I am enjoying the book so much already. It's an easy read and it reminds me of the fiction/fantasy books I used to read when I was in junior high. It will easily take me away to "Forks" (the main location in the book) whenever I need it to. I am quite anxious to see the movie when it comes out. I think they may have hit the jackpot with the actors they cast for the film. Do I have to be at work today? I'd rather be at home in my bed snuggled up reading this book :)

Dawn of a New Day
Barak Obama is officially the 44th president of the United States of America. John McCain bowed out quite gracefully last night, however I was still concerned to hear that everytime he mentioned President Obama's name the crowd booed. In my own opinion, there is much McCain could have said to his crowd, but instead he chose to just put up his hands and quiet them. I am certain that Barack Obama is the right man to lead our country back to dignity. To help the American people back up after our huge fall from grace. President Obama, please bring out troops home. Please help the economy, please help those families who are losing their homes. Please offer more affordable health care to hard working citizens. Please help our education system. Please fund organizations trying to create clean renewable energry. Please help America be respected again. Thank you to the American people for restoring my faith in the democratic system of our country. Thank you for making me feel proud to be an American. Congratulations President Obama, our country is ready for CHANGE.

And then there is Prop 8--on the fence and no decision? I'm so sad. How do we as a nation elect Barack Obama as President and then in California vote to take away someone's civil rights? Yes, you know where I stand on this, I have made it very obvious. I am filled with mixed emotions right now...being as California is the first state ever where voters have been given the chance to prohibit same-sex marriage after it had already been legalized by the California Supreme Court. It is hard to accept that the state of California is about 50-50 on the proposition. If it indeed passes many will be affected by it's outcome.

Day 5 off BC & Happy Halloween!
Day 5 symptoms: Pimple breakouts on both cheeks. :( However, I have felt less bloating in my lower abdomen, which occurred frequently while I was on the pill. I swear I lost some umph in my boobs, but oh well--tis life. Hopefully I'll drop a pound or two as well...HAHAHA.
Happy Halloween to everyone! I love fall--so many wonderful holidays!
I Hope everyone has a SPOOKY Halloween day :D

Off BCP Day #3 & My Mom!
Withdrawal symptoms for the day: Endless peeing. Yeah you read it right. I've been peeing like mad and I haven't changed the amount of water that I've been consuming. WEIRD. Other than the HUGE and painful headache I've had all day I'm doing okay. I took my mom to the Kaiser today because she had to have an endoscopy. Basically they sedate you and stick a skinny camera down your throat to make sure all is well--and thankfully my mom's insides looked fine. She had been having some pain in her throat and chest and so her doctor ordered the procedure just to make sure she was fine, and she is--YEAH! The doctor said her esophagus looks really healthy :D We're all happy. Love you Momma! Happy Hump Day!

OFF BCP Day #2
Ok, so I can tell my body can sense something is different. I have had a deep and painful headache for the passed 2-3 days. This morning my uterus was in knots. Sounds funny I know, but it wasn't my stomach that was all twisted it was a feeling in my lower abdomen. This is really intense. I am trying hard to become very in-tune with my body and to respect it and to listen to it. I do already feel kind of out of it though...I'm really tired and cranky :( Wow. Men don't know how good they have it...seriously.

A New Day...EEEEK!
Tomorrow is day #1 off synthetic hormones. After much thought about it (thanks for listening to me Jenn and Leslie) I decided to just jump. I'm doing it. I'm stopping. Am I scared? Um hell yes. OY! Oh well, I have to do it eventually, I can't be on this crap forever!! I will try and blog about it, just so that I can remember the experience. I hope it's not too painful...but I have appropriately armed myself. The backpack that I take to work is stocked with a ton of tampons, panty-liners and an extra pair of underwear. I suppose at some point I should put an extra pair of pants in there. :) Here goes nothing! EEEEEEEK.

To The Anonymous Poster From My Previous Blog
Well let me begin by saying, this is my blog and I never wrote my previous entry to try and "sway" anyone. I wrote to vent on an issue that I feel very strongly about. My natural way of being has always included "obscenities". This may be a turn off to some people and that's okay, but I am an extreme liberal at heart and I question all areas of "authority" in my life. I really don't feel like I have to explain myself to anyone who isn't really in my life on a daily basis, but that's just so you know my position on this didn't lead me to say "fuck" it's just a word that I use mostly on a daily basis. If this leads you to stop reading my blog, then that is quite unfortunate as I know I am not a "bad" person.
I strongly feel this proposition is one of pure hatred. If you are coming at me from a religious stand point--well let me say this: Doesn't Jesus tell you NOT to judge others? If you are a believer that the Lord wants you to damn homosexual people to hell then my friend that's some seriously hippocratic religion you are practicing. In my mind, if I believed in Jesus, I would imagine that he would want us to love and accept everyone around us. He is the ultimate one to judge who will get into his pearly gates and not us. We are no one to judge--WE ARE NOT GOD. From my perspective I was angry at the people with those vote YES on Prop 8 signs because it is from the depths of my soul that I believe that if two human beings LOVE each other--regardless of sexuality--who is the government to say they cannot commit themselves to each other through marriage? In my opinion law, politics, legislature has NO business being in our personal lives--NONE. Those voting yes keep saying there needs to be a protection of "marriage". Can you honestly tell me that if two women get married or two men get married, or a man and a woman get married it's going to affect the sanctity of your own marriage? And if you can say yes then tell me how?? Because the way I feel about it, is if you love someone you should have the human RIGHT to marry them. Aren't we an establishment claiming FREEDOM and EQUAL rights for all? IF we prevent ANYONE from marrying then we are not that. We are not Free, we are not Equal. I don't know if you are married or not. But what if our laws had prevented you from marrying the love of your life or will prevent you in the future? You would have felt trapped and depressed. The way I see it, this is exactly what happened when interracial couples wanted to get married. Are you against that too? I mean no one had the ability or will have the ability to prevent you from marrying or to give a vote on your marriage why should it be any different for anyone regardless of WHO they are marrying? DO NOT be fooled. Our children do not need to protected from the world, they need to be educated. What can be lost from allowing people to marry one another? Nothing, but much can be gained...to teach your children tolerance and acceptance of ALL people regardless of race, ethnic background, socio-economic status, and sexual orientation. IF you are voting yes because of religious reasons and the "sanctity of marriage" please take a moment to reconsider our "real-life" situation. Do you really want to be responsible for taking someone's right to marry or be LEGALLY committed to another person? If your answer is yes then I am deeply saddened and I am also thankful that I get to vote on such a serious proposition. I do not agree with not allowing someone the legal right to marry another person--regardless of whether I am against the way they are living their lives or not. Call me a hippie, call me what you want, but I am voting No and I remain strong in my standing on this.

I Hate Irvine!
I hate Irvine...it's so very effing Republican. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own choice in political party/affiliation, but Irvine seems to be over the top conservative. As I was driving home from the Park and Ride lot after driving the van home I saw people standing on a corner with signs like this:
All of a sudden I got this overwhelming feeling of anger as I saw people drive by and honk and everyone would cheer. I felt angry, and hurt that people would be so narrow minded. Politics and law should play no role in our personal lives. How unjust is it to take someone's human rights--their civil rights to be equal to everyone else??!! I say marry who you want, if you love them and want them to be your partner for life. Protect marriage the sign says. WTF?? I'm sorry but how is letting ANYONE marry going to affect your own marriage gay or straight? This is effing ridiculous. I drove by those fucks honked my horn and gave them a piece of my mind: My middle finger. I know it wasn't much, but it was all I could do at the time. It was enough however to make me feel a tiny particle better that Irvine had one less person in it who wasn't a fucking yuppy Republican Conservative. F you Irvine and your stuck up ass...I'm voting NO!!

It's All Coming Together
This weekend my mom and I were back at David's Bridal. This time it was to get an alteration done to my dress. We are changing the neckline to a sweetheart neckline and I am so excited about it. I feel like they didn't charge us too much, but what do I know. It came out to $65 for them to cut and re-sew the dress. Here are pictures from the session.

Look at my cutie mom taking pictures! :) I was very happy, can you tell? Heehee. The dress was pinned so that we could get the idea of the sweetheart neckline, but it's going to be a lot more defined when it's done. The flowers in my hair were borrowed from David's Bridal just so that I could get the "look" all together. My mom and I really liked them, but they were $50 just because they had swarovski crystals in them. UGH. Those weren't my shoes either--the same style, but mine are currently getting dyed a bridal light ivory. :) I can't wait for the dress to be done. The alterations lady, whose name is Karla, gave us an estimated date of Nov. 19th :) I CAN'T WAIT! But it gives me some time to try and tone up my arms and my back.
I just got the 30 Day Shred workout in the mail and I'm starting it tonight. Wish me luck! :)
Oh and I was doing some thinking and I decided I'm not going to go off the pill until after we're married. I don't want to be all hormonal and pimply when we get married and I want to be able to skip the period if I have to. But def after we get married which right now looks like December I am so tossing those things out the window! HAHAHA. :)
Also, I'm still thinking of getting a small bouquet for myself at the grocery store or something. Since we'll be getting married in December I thought I'd change the bouquet up a bit and I found this picture:
What do ya think?

Set Me Free
Every day, for the passed eleven years I have been popping a pill in my mouth in the morning. This tiny round pill is jam packed with hormones and it has been preventing me from ovulating for these eleven years. This pill has tricked my body into thinking that it's been pregnant for ELEVEN years. My poor body.
I began this horrid regimen at the tender young age of 16. I didn't even let my own body develop properly, or let it produce it's own hormones. They put me on this tiny pill not to prevent pregnancy, but to prevent my heavy flow, to prevent the horrible cramping pains that would keep bound to a bed for two days. You were to liberate me from these evils that menstruation created. But, today, at 27, and for the past month I have asked myself, could there be more of a health issue here than I am aware of because this pill has been making me have regular periods for eleven years? I am scared, but I am also anxious to see what my body produces naturally. Will I change? With my own hormones all a rage, will I break out? Will I be an emotional wreck? Will my cramps and heavy period come back to haunt me? I don't know...all I know is that I'm tired. At 27, I'm tired of popping a pill everyday. I stopped eating meat because I didn't want rotting flesh in my body...but I'm pumping myself with artificial hormones everyday? Well ain't that some shit. I'm not trying to get pregnant, I don't want to go off the pill so that we can try. I just want to give my body the opportunity to do what it needs to do on it's own and to let my body actually ovulate. I'm scared, I am truly, truly scared to see what I will be facing. I have two more weeks of pills left and then I think I am stopping them. Edgar has said he will be supportive and that we will use extra precautions where we can to avoid a pregnancy...but I am scared. I have created a dependency on this tiny round pill. In essence, my body will be facing a withdrawal much like that of a drug addiction. May the force be with me...and may I be stocked with a butt load of 800 milligram Ibuprofen pills. I am scared shitless and anxious to finally be free of this eleven year habit. But more than anything, I am dreading within the depths of my being, the pain that will come with each menstruation cycle. I think I'm going to make an appointment with an OBGYN soon. Body, it's me Brenda. I'm going to set you free okay? Please don't push me off a cliff.

Babydolls, I need a Change! :)
My fellow blog readers...I'm bored of my hair. I don't want to cut it as I got a trim quite recently and she cut it shorter than I wanted, but I'm itching for some different color in my hair. I'm getting tried of it just being one color: black. I have gotten lots of complements on it, but I think I'm ready for a change. Black is a really hard color to strip....so I'm thinking I could add in some highlights, but nothing too crazy. Any ideas? :)

Jenn's Bridal Shower & So Much More!
Yesterday I attended Jenn's Bridal shower--which had a very cool "Mardi Gras" theme :)
I drove out to Menifee to hang with her and her long time buds. It was a lot of fun and I even got to hang with the lovely (6 months and 4 days pregnant) Brandy! (Who by the way looks absolutely radiant!) Jenn was all smiles and oh so happy. It was so great to just hang out with girls. I know it sounds silly, but since moving out to Southern Cali after college (Nor Cal) I really haven't made that many. Which reminds me: Noosh and Lacey we need to get together soon :) There were veggies for me to eat and loads of goodies. We played a few games, one which Brandy, Mama Libby and I won! They had to wrap me in toilet paper and make a wedding dress out of it. I'm sure Jenn will have pictures up that I can snatch from her soon. :) As a prize I got this cute partylite candle set, which I lit the second I got home because it smelled sooo good :) I also got to meet Bella. Which sparked that stupid baby fever in me. She's soooo cute and soooo tiny. I haven't been around very many babies my whole life. The thought of holding one makes me so nervous. How do you know what to do with them??!! HAHAHA. Well Jenn, I just wanted to say thank you for a great time and it was awesome to meet most of your besties :) It was so fun hanging with you and Brandy--I sooo wish I lived closer to the two of you. Thanks bud. :)
Updates on my life:
* Work is insane right now. The students started Fall Quarter on Thursday. My brain has been on overdrive and I've been getting home super exhausted.
* Edgar and I have been considering trying to purchase our first home next year after our lease is up at our apartment. We will NEVER be able to afford property in Orange County, but a month or two ago we went and saw some houses in Murrieta. This, I think we can actually do. If we can make it a reality I will be soooo happy. I'm so sick of apartment living.
* Edgar and I have called off the wedding plans. Wait. Stop. Before you freak out, we just decided it's an expense we can't afford and there are more important things in our life. So, I bought a nice ivory tea-length wedding dress and in a month or two we are going to head over to the Justice of the Peace and get married. Cheap? Yes. Still getting married? Yes. We are both tired of putting it off. I am super excited about it. It feels more like "us" anyway. I figure we'll keep it family only and afterwards head over to my mom's or my uncle's for a barbecue and some cake :D Do we need more than that? No. I'm just happy that we will FINALLY be husband and wife.
* I have found a new television show and I'm obsessed with it.
It's "TRUE BLOOD" on HBO. It's on every Sunday...and it's a show about Vampires in the South (or Midwest) can't remember. But mostly everyone has a smooth southern accent and it's just a hot and sexy show. I love me some vampires. Man I so missed having cable.

Learning About Myself
These are the things I've learned about myself.
1) It is possible I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or I am just very anal.
Here are the reasons why I believe this:
* Last week I was at a friends house playing Scrabble. Every time one of the small tiles was not laying flat on the board's surface I had to fix it. I HAD TO FIX IT. I would stare at it obsessively, I would try not to focus on it, but I couldn't look away and if I managed to do so I was thinking about it. It was haunting me.
* When I am at Blockbuster if I see a movie title and it is not in it's place I feel compelled to put it where it belongs. Key word: COMPELLED.
* When I go to a clothing store and I try on something that I don't like, I will walk back to where I originally picked it up from and put it back. I don't put things in random places. I don't do it to be nice to the sales people--I do it because it seriously bugs the crap out of me that the article of clothing is not where it belongs. Key word: BELONGS.
* My DVDs at home are arranged by genre and then by alphabet.
2) I think I am a CONTROL freak.
Here's why:
* If I could do everything myself I would. Meaning I would cut my own hair, do my own makeup (for special occasions, etc.), sew my own clothes, grow my own food, so on and so forth. I am one of those, you're not doing it right, here let me do that, type of people. It sucks, but it's me.
* If my desk is a mess at work I feel like I'm losing control.
3) I am a feeler and a giver.
* I thrive off of giving to those that I love and feeling needed. I am a cancer--a nurturer by nature of the stars. I thrive off feeling like I can help someone, like I've made a difference in their life. I feed off of this need, it gives me purpose in life.
* I don't think with my brain. I am NOT a rational thinker. I am an emotional feeling type of person. My actions, for the majority of the time, are based off of my emotions. This sometimes makes me a damn lunatic, I'm sure it drives others crazy. I am overly emotional and when that happens I throw all logic out of the window with good reasoning.
This is who I am.
I am a deep thinker. Sometimes I can get lost in my thoughts and stare into space and nothingness. My vision blurs and I will think about anything and everything. Lately when people have been talking to me my mind will wander and they will be talking and talking and I tune them out only to go to my own thoughts. It's mean, but it happens and I can't stop it. I am not a quiet person, but I can be. When I am not lost in my thoughts I am talking a lot. However, if you've caught me at a time when I am drowning in visions and life and "what ifs" I will be rude to you, I will be short with you. How dare you cut into my "me" time.
As the years go by, I learn more about myself. Sometimes, it's surprising. Sometimes, I realize I already kind of had an idea all along. More to come. My mind is in sixth gear and I'm driving 100 mph down the freeway of my thoughts. I can't make it stop.

Well Shit on Me!
**WARNING, this post contains a shit load of curse words. This may not be suitable for some adults**
so STFU.
Do you ever have days where you wake up and you just feel like fucking shit? Where traffic is bad and everyone is driving but it's like they have no where to go at fucking 6:30AM because they are driving like the speed limit is 35? Ok, so what if it's 45 and I'm going 60, you see me in you rear view mirror, so get the fuck out of my way! Ok, don't move and I'll just drive around you. Or what about those days where it seems like you get every single mother fucking red light ever created by dumb assholes? Yeah. Those days where you question your surroundings. Where you're living, where you are working, what you are doing with your life? One of those days where you feel stagnant? Like the world is moving around you but you are stuck in a fucking pool of cement? One of those days where you remember what it was like to be 10-15 pounds lighter and you remember that when you were that weight you still thought you were fat?? WTF?? Or one of those days where you can't figure out what the fuck is wrong with your lazy ass because no matter what you do you can't commit to a work out plan to get rid of the fat on your lumpy ass? One of those days where you are sick of not getting respect, sick of dealing with self-centered assholes who live only for themselves and for no one else? Yeah. One of those days where your bed is too small, your car is too slow, your desk is too messy and your life seems meaningless? One of those days where your cat wakes you up 30 min too early at 4:30AM when the alarm is supposed to go off at 5AM? One of those days where you realize that you are 27 and that there are people younger than you that have made more progress in their lives than you have and it is driving you crazy that you feel you are forever stuck in limbo--waiting and waiting for certain events and things to happen in your life? Ever have one of those days where you stop and ask yourself, "How the fuck did I get here?". Yeah, it's one of those days. So shit on me. Fuckin' A.

Adventures in Shopping
So I'm officially on vacation this week. I'm so happy, I really feel like I needed it. Yesterday I went over to visit my mom. We went shopping because I had a $60 gift card for Macy's that Edgar's parents gave me for my birthday and I was anxious to spend it! I found the best deal on a 12 inch cast iron frying pan and I also found a cast iron grill/griddle both for $14.99!! That's so cheap. A 10 inch at Target is like $20. I also picked up a food slicer for $20. I'm very excited to start using these wonderful kitchen tools. I "seasoned" the frying pan last night and today I will try and "season" the grill.
While my mother and I were at the mall we decided to stop by JCPenney. I was in dire need of new bras. In my mother's words "the bra you have on pushes you down and makes you look flat". Um, hello mom, I have no boobs. I'm a B cup! So I tried on several bras and actually bought some push-up ones. They are very comfortable, but I'm trying to get used to seeing more boobage in the area. Somehow, it doesn't seem fair--I feel like I'm cheating! HAhahaa, oh well, they were on sale and they are comfortable, so we'll see how long it takes for me to get used to my new found boobies. :)
Here's the bra I bought:

Definitely For Me!
So last night Edgar and I were flipping through our channels. For some reason our TV pics up signals from our neighbors satellites so sometimes we get to see movies for free. This is a good thing, however if the person who is watching the movie stops it, it stops for us. If the person fast forwards or rewinds, it does the same for us. It's kind of funny, but many times we get caught up in a movie only to have the person who is watching it just turn it off. Last night Edgar and I caught "Definitely, Maybe". This is a movie I had been avoiding because the commercials for it made me think the movie was about a daughter trying to fix up her single parent father and that really did not spark my interest. But last night we happened to change the channel and someone had just started the movie, so we sat and watched it. It turns out, that is really not what the movie is about and believe it or not, I really liked it. Edgar watched the whole thing with me and never said, "man this is such a chick flick". Ryan Reynolds was very charming and Abigail Breslin did a really good job as the inquisitive daughter. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Ryan is such a hottie :) Anyway, the point of this long post is that I really liked the movie--so much so that I would consider buying it. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it's really cute. Oh and I am so excited today!! The cable person is coming out to the apt today to turn our cable back on!!! OH sweet cable, how I've missed you! And to make things even sweeter, Edgar got us a DVR~ YIPPEE we can record shows! YAY!

Wipeout & More Vegan Food!
Today Edgar and I woke up and took off to Huntington Beach to go body boarding. Okay. Yeah, me body boarding. I'm not the athletic type...and never have been, I'm more the crafty, artsy fartsy type of person. But hey, I thought I would give it a try. I'm not going to lie, I was scared out of my arse. I gave it a couple of runs in the water and seriously wiped out several times. It's really scary. The waves basically swallow you and swish you around like you were in a washing machine. It was hard for me not to panic whenever I went under. I think I swallowed a crap load of salt water. Toward the end, I managed to ride a rather big wave and was very proud of myself, but Edgar swears he wishes he had a camera because he said the look on my face was priceless. He said I looked like I knew what I was doing and I rode the wave like a pro, however the look on my face said I was scared shitless--which I really was! After that, I decided to give it a rest and just sat on the beach and enjoyed the sun and the waves. We had a great time!
Fast forward to now, we're back at home and I am exhausted. I just made us some veggie burger patties from....wait for it....wait for it....COSTCO! 14 patties for $10! They are sooooo good. I grilled them and I swear they taste asian inspired. The brand is Don Lee Farms "Veggie Patties" and holy moly. YUMMO x2. They are not in the freezer section, they are in the refrigerated section and I found them at the Costco in Moreno Valley on Day St. From their website it looks like they make some other veggie friendly food products. Check them out!

Pleasantly Surprised!
So the other day Edgar came home with a movie rental from Blockbuster. I was a little skeptical, but it turns out the movie was actually pretty darn good. It was "The Hammer" with Adam Corolla. I really enjoyed the movie and thought it was written very well. I was surprised because I was expecting some stupid silly jokes, but it was a really good movie. Turns out "Ozzie" in the movie is Adam's real life friend and that Adam used to work construction before he made it "big". If you haven't seen the movie, you should pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised and you might be too!

Vegan Finds!
So yesterday Edgar and I went over to Trader Joes to pick up something to eat for dinner. We came out with more than we expected, but that's why you shouldn't go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. We stumbled upon the following "good eats":
Turtle Island Foods makes Tofurky Hickory Smoked slices and HOLY MOTHER they are damn good. Edgar and I had sandwiches yesterday and I was in heaven!
Last week we took a trip to Whole Foods, which I think we are going to start doing more often and we found this little treasure:
Vegan Mayonnaise or "Vegenaise" from Follow Your Heart. This stuff is bomb diggity and oh so good for ya! Just wanted to share the latest food finds for those of you fellow Veg Heads. ENJOY!
